Most of the Indians prefer staying in USA over all other countries in this world just because it offers more salaries, cleanliness and most importantly an organised way of living. Indians get into USA for their graduate study followed by getting a job with high pay and a luxurious life. They get attracted to this life and tend to stay there for their whole life. They rarely visit India to meet their friends and family. Though initially students have the intention of returning to India after getting adequate experience, they continue to stay there.
Ofcourse there are ample reasons for staying in USA as you don't have to worry about your neighbours, you don't have to answer your relatives, you don't stuck in traffic for hours, you don't have to think of polution, you don't need any recommendations to get things done, you don't have to save money for future generations, you can enjoy a lot, you can have the exposure towards different communities, you can lead a professional life etc., Life will be so organised and simple. To be precise, I can say life in USA is like a time table with scheduled breaks. Though the Indians in USA lead a luxurious life they realize during their final days that their life is incomplete. Here are some of the things Indians miss out staying in USA for a longer durations.
Home - Sweet Home:
You may have travelled all over the world or stayed in rich hotel suites but the feeling you get when you're in your home is priceless. That bonding between you and your home cannot be replaced with any other in this world. Home even includes our culture, our family, our habbits etc.,
Relationships:
Indians are emotionally connected to each other. We respect our family, friends and relatives. Families together celebrate festivals, ceremonies, birthday functions in India. Though the Indians in USA have larger families, they miss out these kinda get together events. Earning money should be worthy. How worthy is it, when you are away from your family?
Loneliness:
You may be a millionaire or billionaire but you remain poor when there is no one beside you caring at your bad times. That motivation you get from your family and friends during hard times is worth billions. You likely to miss that in USA as there won't be anyone beside you. USA has got the best facilities everywhere but with lack of social support.
Climate:
People say it's very hot during summer in India, it's even hard to step out. But in most parts of USA it will be snowing for around six to eight months. Atleast you can roam in the evenings in India during summers but you can't even do that in USA. It gets darker very early, you won't have much time in light.
Festivals & Events:
India is a land of festivals. You can find diversified cultures all over the country. A Muslim firing crackers during Diwali, Christian eating Haleem during Ramzan season, Hindu lighting candles in a church. These things are possible only in India. You won't see any fireworks during diwali, Rangoli infront of houses during Sankranthi. While your friends and families are celebrating in India, you would be busy watching them on Skype, Hangouts or FaceTime.
Ofcourse every person has their own perspective. There are people in USA who are living happily with their parents & families. But for those who live alone will be a worst experience. You may be earning millions of dollars an year but that should be worthy. One should spend their healthy time with the family rather than earning all the time leaving everyone and living thousands of miles away.
I would like to share a story of a person which I have read it on Quora. One person from India lives in Missouri is a very good human being and also most respectful person. Apart from the childhood he has spent the rest of his life in USA and was busy with his corporate life. He became CEO of a company and earned billions of dollars. During the final stage of his life, he was affected with cancer. Though he has got a very big family in India. Only his wife & children were there with him. He may have earned so much money in his life but failed to bag some good memories with their family members.
Eventually, I would like to conclude by saying Life is all about love, Money is just a part of it.
Proud to be an INCREDIBLE INDIAN !!
